Ive seen quite a few threads about non working dash clocks. With mine, sometimes they work, other times they do not. I can get in the car and drive for 15 minutes before any gauges register. Another time I can drive for 30 minutes and they havent done anything.

Any ideas where my first port of call should be to look at this?

Try pulling Fuse 15, this will reset your clock each time, but it shouldn't cause gauge failure anymore.
