What do i need to connect a cone filter? (Got it free...)

Featured Replies

So I have been  given a pipercross cone filter, needs a clean but should be ok. Yes a CAI is better, but i do come across deep water often enough to not want to risk it. I will be getting a heat shield if i like it too, so not wanting any filter bashing here! Lol. Just want to know what I'll need to connect it to my Maf, it is 90mm with a 70mm reducer fitted...will this slot on, or do i need extra pipe to get it through the heat shield?

Thanks

May need a pipe depends on heat shield and how long the reducer is. Best bet is to fit the filter, see if you like it then get the shield. I had to fit a short pipe to get it to sit near the original CAI for the standard air box.

If the reducer is the silicon one then you will be just able to connect direct to MAF and clamp own on it.

Reducer is a rubber collar in the neck of the filter, not a pipe style reducer. Also is 70mm correct size if i am to buy a silicone joining piece?

I think our MAF is about 64mm so you might be able to clamp it straight to MAF.

best to show a pic buddy.

Bin it!
