About 2 or 3 times now I've noticed by bolero bleeping like I've touched the screen when I haven't. It doesn't just beep once but several times and then the radio station changes to another station and when I do touch the screen it temporarily doesn't respond. There's nothing on the screen so I don't know what's wrong. Maybe needs a software update or something. Does this sound familiar to anyone ?

Possibly the touchscreen display has gone faulty. Think its a resistive rather than capacitive display so there could be a problem with the pickup layers underneath the main film causing false positives (in other words the screen sending commands to the HU thinking your pressing it when in fact you are not).

On these cars it is literally just a display, all the brains is in the glovebox in the form of a single DIN headunit.

I've been having a similar issue with the bolero unit in my car, where it'll randomly change stations without anyone going near it! It's been back to the dealers but they have been unable to fix the problem, it'll get mentioned again when it goes in for its first service in a few weeks time. I'd be interested if you manage to get a fix, but I have a feeling it could be a replacement unit if you can convince the dealer of the problem.

I've had a new control unit fitted to mine as it was freezing and doing random stuff. So far it seems to have cured the problem. Apparently Skoda know of the fault.
