Something Went Crack!

Featured Replies

Just completed a 280 mile round trip to Wiltshire and the little Citigo was purring away nicely at max motorway speed. We actually got 2 miles from home tonight and something went crack. Nothing hit the car as I know, no car in front or coming from the other way. Anyway got home and now I have a crack in the windscreen, it starts at the bottom of the screen and is around six inches long up the screen.

Anyone else had their screen go like this?  Looks like it's a call to Autoglass in the morning

Oh dear :(

Nobody dropped something off an overhead motorway bridge or anything like that?

Maybe there was already a small hardly noticeable chip there already?

We were going over an ancient bridge just outside Derby it's near to were we live so not on the motorway. Having had another look this morning it seems likely it may have been hit by a stone earlier in the day, we heard something hit the car but couldn't see anything. Just 1" above the wiper it seems like a small chip and the crack goes right through this. Going over the bridge it seems made the window crack. All booked in with Autoglass next week.

aye, the chasis shifting over the hump back probably torsioned it and split...
