Skoda Superb 2.0L Petrol 200 BHP, 13 Plate.. Yes or No ?

Featured Replies

I've never seen one in the brochures so I suspect there's an error in that advert.

Yes. Engine code ending CCZA.

Yep. I fancied one...with a remap it would pull the pants down of a 3.6 v6 and better mpg! And you get the quad exhausts off the v6 too :)

That's the golf GTI Engine, is it not?

Yes they did, I have one myself........

Rare beastie, but bought from a well-known East London stealer in Feb. 12, ex-Skoda management  car with 5k miles on the clock.

Just coming up to 13K miles, runs quite well for a little engine in a big car.......

Twin exhausts were standard, it is indeed a GTi Golf / vRS Octy engine & (allegedly) responds nicely  to a gentle remap.

Compared to the V6, the front wheels scrabble a little at take-off, but as soon as it's rolling it's quick enough to surprise other drivers.

Driven sensibly, it's economical for a petrol, about 34 mpg overall so far & a very good motorway cruiser, not much noise at speed.

Extra grunt is available when required via the paddles (optional 3-spoke steering wheel) or a gentle flexing of the right foot!

All round it's a a nice car, slower but more comfortable than our vRS Octy, & good alternative to similar sized cars such as Mondeos, Insignias, etc.

Another 2.0TSI owner here. This engine was only available in the UK from February 2011 and only in Elegance or L&K trim and with DSG. It was dropped when the FL was introduced in 2013.

I bought mine new in March 2012 to replace an Octavia vRS. For me its the perfect combination of space, performance and refinement. Just back from a 450 mile round trip to Hereford this weekend with a brisk drive on empty roads from Worcester to Hereford on Friday night to remind me what a great car this is.
