Black leather L&K door inserts installed on vrs-triple black rules(pics)

Featured Replies

I fitted these a few weeks ago and thought I`d post the results. Managed to buy them from another Briskoda member, took a few hours to fit, but very satisfying indeed. They look even better in the flesh, and compliment the Golf Recaro interior(and centre armrest) and the Golf black carpet very well, not to mention the black magic paintwork. Thinking of doing a guide soon too. Very Happy man indeed

They look rather pleasing to the eye :)

Only thing about it, everytime i see the black inserts, it makes the rest of the door card look like a dark navy....

I know what you mean, but it does look more so in the pics for some reason. So much better than the white mesh Skoda stuff anyway, that must have been an idea they had after a good night out lol

Now that looks dam nice. As if it could of been factory fitted. I like. Huge improvement.

Sent from my Samsung S3

I dont doubt they look less navy :) as everytime i look at my door cards, they appear black, but still navy'ish in photos.... strange

did it take much effort to do the replacement? given the heat melted bonding method used to attach the inserts.

I used a 7" pry bar and a screwdriver to lift the original panels. I was toying with what to use for attaching them for a while, decided on ended up using a cheap copy of Araldite Rapid from Lidl of all places(£2)

The glue is in two tubes with a central syringe, worked very well after mixing each spot. However after holding and weighting each panel down for about 20 minutes, there was the odd few spots that did`nt stick, for this we used a hot glue gun, which done the trick.
