Replacing ccu

Featured Replies

Got a replacement ccu arriving soon, once its fitted do i need to reprogram my keyfobs for the locking or is that controlled by something else?

Thanks

Yes. You need to learn the key fobs. If this a second hand CCU, erase any existing fob data (write 0 to channel 0), before learning your key fobs.

The locking/unlocking of the key fob has nothing to do with the engine ECU. Only the chip in the key

Correct. Writing 0 to channel 0 OF THE CCU erases all previous key data.

Don't forget to disconnect the battery earth before starting... prevents anything going fiz pop lol

Yeah its a second hand ccu. I take it using the method seen on youtube, one key in the ignition and one in the drivers door is the right way to program them?
