Function Over Form - JH3894 Fabia vRS MK1

Featured Replies

Hi thanks for in advacne for having a read of this and any constructive criticism/praise is very welcome!

So lets start I suppose, traveled down from Scotland to Carlisle in August and bought my car, this is what she looked like at point of sale:

Standard apart from factory fit leathers, rear tints, and body coloured handles. Apparently dubbed as 'Venom edition' when i bought it which I'm taking with a pinch of salt as I've never heard of it before, perhaps it was a dealership special edition or something. It had 33k odd miles and only one owner from new so it looks like I picked a good un so far    heres a pic of the factory leathers, discount the white speckles i have no idea what they are, must be my camera!

It has stayed this way, minus the private plate, until yesterday. Where I finally got round to fitting my AP Shocks and Springs and 312mm Front Brake upgrade  . As the title suggests this will not be an all singing all dancing lowered to the hilt vRS as I travel 116 miles a day to work along the A84, which for you fellow Scots is the road towards blair drummond safari park heading from Stirling way, all the way to Killin. Absolutely stunning drive when its nice weather must admit, one of the nicest and most entertaining in Scotland in my honest opinion. I then treated her to a full detailing session today for the first time since I've owned it.

Products Used:

1. Autobrite Magifoam Snowfoam

2. Obsession wax Purify Shampoo (Thanks to the GB set up by Sparkly)

3. Bilt Hammer Clay Bar - used 3 bits of the four i split it into, the rear was absolutely manky!

4. Obsession wac Purify Shampoo yet again.

5. Sonax Enhance Polish (On review i need to get a stronger polish as it didn't take out many of the scrathes etc)

6. Collinite No845? Wax.

7.Topped with Sonax Carauba Spritz.

The Results (Some beading porn included  )

Not at the moment mate, I will get some up for you tomorrow though!

Great - tempted by these instead of coilovers!

Just from using them, they do make the car look 10x better than standard and you dont have any comfort problems what so ever they feel exactly like OEM. The handling is much improved as well, and these have only been on a day and a half so have still to settle!

Another cleaning session tonight and finally got to use my hybrid 86 wax from obsession wax and thoroughly impressed by it! Some beading/wooly mammoth drying power after just dragging it across the roof with no pressure and some reflections in one picture!

Also got some pics of it lowered and the brakes on!

Thanks guys! Really need to get a few more things done before I'm really happy with it but as always, money restrictions!
