Car Zapper 9000 Legal?

Featured Replies

Just looking around the net and came across the car zapper 9000.

Basically its electric fence attached to your car.

Would this be legal in the uk?

Unlikely ...

Not a chance.

If a small child or someone with a heart condition walks past it and brushes against it, expect a very, very unpleasant time in court.

Thought not, shame as a few little s****  need a shock.

Guessing they get away with in in fields as people shoudnt be in there.

'Bonus Benefit

Have you noticed how dog **** discolors your expensive mag wheels? If a dog pees on your car when your Car Zapper 9000 is armed he gets zapped. That’ll teach him not to **** on your car!.'

This has got be a spoof. For my credentials I'm an electronic engineer and I see problems here. 1st to complete the circuit you need a return from the touching person, so as well as the car making contact to the ground maybe some kind of upside down dodgem pick up, the ground must conduct to the person, is tarmac and everyday shoes that conductive, would they have low enough resistance. Secondary on the actual touching of the vehicle, well paint is also an insulator. Hence I'm quite suspicious of this product.

If only they were legal..... if only.....

Slightly O/T - one of the many things I hated about my Schitroen Berlingo was its apparent capacity to store static electricity.  On occasions when I touched it, it would spark at the point of contact (e.g. my finger) and send a jolt up my arm.  This hasn't happened with any other car I have owned.

Not sure if a dog ever tried to **** on it...

Hahaha sorry that made me chuckle :)

Must of been a problem with the earthing of the car maybe? I had a similar problem with my p¡$$poorpeugeot , but not a shock as big as your car was!
