Replacing power steering pump

Featured Replies

After exploring every option after having dodgy power steering and having no fix, I've bought a new pump.

It looks pretty straight forward to replace, few bolts etc, will it self bleed when filled for the first time and comes to life or will it need manual bleeding ?

Any tips ?

Thanks

Rich

Changed two now, off the top of my head...

It has three 13mm bolts holding the frame bit up ontop the chassis leg.

It has two pipes attached for flow and return of the fluid.

It has three multiplugs at the very front of the pump, one on the left for the angle sensor, middle for main live and earth feed and one on the right for other.

Going lock to lock a few times will bleed the system.

Not a bad job really.
