Engine bay cleaning

Well attempted it today got pretty much all the filth off but no luck with making it look nice enough for a pic and lost a screw for the plastic cover [emoji24] Also nearly got blocked in the garage so a 12 point turn was needed. Gonna to try again once I've removed my sai and some other bits. Quite surprised I didn't break anything lol.

So what parts need to be removed/covered up in order to use a hose on it all?

Hi Buddy the first pic is a Audi TT heat shield i first fitted years ago, called a heat deflector hose part 06A971461

More recently I removed that and fitted a coilpack loom cover from  a std VW golf mk 5 gti  part 06F 971 824 C

It is still my std wiring loom

Here is a guide I just knocked up.

the coil pack hold down brackets  are from ECS tuning but Awesome gti sell them now.

here is a link they come in different colours

hope this is helpful

Bowders, it is awesomely helpful, thank you for taking the trouble to post my friend.

I shall be shopping for some bits soon thanks to you!!!

Nothing on a standard motor. If youve got an open cone filter fitted or an aftermarket alarm siren then cover those

Cable throttle? Am I missing something here :drunk:

lol its an early one agu. isint a vrs either

I've clean my engine bay with Carplan engine degreaser and used brush for stubborn dirty bits. And I also used a pressure washer without any problems  :) .

However I run into a problem when taking off the Engine Cover. The foam padding thingy fell apart.

Have you got any idea what can you replace Engine Cover Foam padding with?

Look at photos so you know what I'm talking about.
