Dsg flashing gear numbers and key

Featured Replies

Hi

I drive skoda octavia II 61 plate 1.6 tdi dsg with 69k on the clock . When I was driving home I found out that gear numbers on dashboard started to flash and key ( service key) appear and flash as well . Gears change normal , car drives good . I stoped , switch off car , switch on and it was fine . Everthing back to normal . But after 5 miles it started again .

Any advice wlecome .

Cheers Mike

Only thing to do is find someone local with VCDS to scan for the fault code which will have been logged when your problem appeared. Having said that, your car being a 61 plate should still be in warranty so I would get it into the dealer pronto.

Thanks I will go there asap. But because of millage car isnt on warranty any more :(

Yes just remembered about mileage, though I would say you have a very good case for goodwill from Skoda.

Good will is possible if warranty has expired. I had all my rear brakes and passenger side caliper replaced with good will. I just paid 10% of the bill.

if you don't ask yiu don't get.

Hi MikePl, I have the same problem with my VW Golf MK6 1.6 TDI DSG. Could you be so kind and share with how you solve this problem? Thank you in advance
