FMIC Help?

Featured Replies

Right my seat sport cooler has cracked down both sides where the welds join the edges. Now does the airtec cooler fit with the SS pipe work? Or do I need a new kit? Or is someone running something different as I don't really want this too happen again.

Thanks

I don't see why not, practically the same 'cooler.

Dav-vrs is running the darkside pipes with airtec cooler and they fit the seat sport so I would say yeah they fit

The original SEAT sport intercooler is prone to leaking when used with higher boost. Stronger (and deeper) alternatives are available from...

Forge Motorsport

THS Performance

Airtec

I've seen the Airtec cooler "bare" without pipework for £295.

Thanks for help mate, I also found the Airtec cooler dor £295, still quite expensive..

Good no cheap.

Cheap no good.

Too much booooozt

Are the airtec coolers ok then? I'm thinking of getting an FMIC and saw they do one for £495 inc pipe work which seems fair value.

I have fitted one and seems well constructed. Have nothing to compare it to but I rate it :)

Airtec is built better then a seat sport intercooler

I know the airtec stuff is rated highly in the Ford tuning scene

Seems like airtec is the way to go then.

I know some of those focus rs's run over 500 bhp on them so should be fine for us

Yeah man, just seems expensive for just the cooler, feel like i should spend the extra and buy the pipework too lol

I have an evo fmic on mine. And made up all pipe work. Forge map sensor pipe and ebay couplers.

Come upto less than 200. But a very tight fit. Running 60mm pipework

Pics or it didn't happen! Only joking but I'd quite like to see it though as I've been thinking of just getting any fmic and doing my own pipes

Love my airtec cooler. Nice fit too

And finished job. Done some cut and **** welding on my cross bar to fit it.. wasnt meant to fit but it did in the end

Looks quite good I think I might end up making one it's just the messing about with pipes that puts me off. I wish I'd bought a tx cooler when they were listed as a mistake at £120
