Alloy refurb price

Featured Replies

Hi,

I am looking to have my alloys refurbished as they have started to corrode and also the previous owner wasn't great at parallel parking, to say the least.

I've been quoted around £85 a corner for the full refurb inc acid bath to remove the corrosion. Is this the going rate or am I being mugged off?

Thanks, Harry

Birmingham City Powder Coaters did 4 of mine for a TOTAL of £120.

City Powder Coaters here too :)

£80 for 4 wheels.

And me. Bargain!

I've had wheels done at City Powder Coaters in the past also! The job was very good for the money, but not perfect bear in mind.

I paid £300 to have my Spiders done, and the finish was flawless!

Did they strip them down for that?

Pristine Wheels in Milton Keynes.  They have agencies around the country.

£360 for the car, turn up, leave the car, collect it when they are done.  Excellent service, no worries.

Had my vRS done there.  Colour mix of 50% and 50% anthracite.

I paid over £300 (if I remember correctly) for the 5 alloy wheels re-furb, which included the re-balancing of the wheels.

Not sure where you are but I can definitely recommend Lepsons in Medway. Really excellent quality of product and service. I'm going to do a little before and after post when I get round to it actually.

Acid dipped, blasted and powder coated.

Cheers chaps, I guess it's a classic case of you get what you pay for. Probably going to be a pain in the arse dropping my car at Birmingham so I think I'll just have to go with it... Now to choose what colour!

I paid around the £250-300 mark can't remember, I didn't choose wisely and the paints been peeling. :(

Going to get mine re-done shortly somewhere else.
