Afternoon all, just been to get some new rear discs and pads fitted and both my rear calipers are seized. Ive rang around most car scrappers in Leicester and nobody seems to have any.

Am I right in thinking I can get some calipers from a golf gti mk4?

I'm not sure about the golf ones but you can get new calipers on eBay for the vrs quite cheap http://bit.ly/13pem0Q

Thats still more than I wanted to pay as I need both sides. Was hoping to pick up a bargain used set

New ones are best tbh. Getting used could be a minefield more so ffrom a breakers. The handbrake mechs could be seized

Buy cheap buy twice sadly.  One of mine was seizing so replaced both.  Fit and forget!

Full package with calipers, disks and pads are £180 on ebay. Sounds like you have pads etc already though
