So guys, what sort of a job is it to repair or replace the wiring loom to coil packs on the vRS?

 

On first inspection the loom across the rocker looks ok, but a random misfire multi cylinders with brand new recal coil packs is only pointing in one direction!!

 

Any tips on this?  

Any links ect?

 

Have wired 24v engine into my e30 before and that was spaghetti junction but this coil pack wiring still a little daunting

When my maf sensor failed that was reading misfires on all four cylinders. Try unplugging that first just to see if it runs any better. If it does that's what the problem is. Its unlikely you have faulty wiring to every cylinder.

I've just fitted a new maf sensor mate. Brand new off the shelf 2 days ago :-(

 

I'd been running unplugged for a few weeks as the old one was goosed

you don't have to go as far as I did, can always splice a new loom in round where the CTS is, bit of soldering to do, heat shrink and insulating tape and away you go.
