how do i remove the handbrake cable where it enters the car?  does it just pull out or is it held in place with a nut? cable goes into  a white tube which takes cable  to handbrake lever   ty

You need to get into the area in the car behind the handbrake lever, under the plastic trip you will find where the cable meets the lever equaliser mechanism.
