Rear sensors

Featured Replies

Has any one had a problem with rear parking senors...??

This morning when reversing onto the driveway, The senors bars turned red on the left side I was close to something, but I was 4 ft away from fence

Its the second time its done that in the last 2 weeks..

I've had it happen once, stopped when the sensor when red, but got out of the car to find that I was still parked way forward in the bay so the nose was sticking out, and a 3ft gap behind.

Ive had the hot exhaust gases during a DPF regen set mine off on the left.

Same as Neily03 set off a few times due to DPF regen

That could be it..

The back bumper was very warm on that side...

Thanks guys..

Same here with sensors and DPF regen :)

A potential parking sensor quirk for the Mk3 vRS TDI then....due to the different rear bumper Mk2 vRS sensors were different to those fitted to regular models and suffered water ingress, didnt happen that often but bloody annoying when it did. Have noticed the Mk3 regular models have the sensors quite neatly mounted in the black plastic valance; be hard pushed to tell they were there from a distance; also whilst it looks more infinitely boring now glad the regular car does also have a hidden tailpipe!
