Stock vrs rev limiter?

Featured Replies

Hi all, been unsure if my octy is standard or remapped as no proof so thought i could give a quick check with its limiter as remapped usually give 500rpm more. So just wondering what the stock limiter is so i can compare, i know its not certain but if mine has a higher limter its likely

Thanks in advance

I think but not 100% positive stock is just below 6900 but after a remap its around or just above 7200. Like i say that just something ive read on here somewhere

Is the diverter valve is pretty audible and the engine has a nice snarl under full throttle then it just may be.

Diverter valve audible? It sounds like a dump valve if given some boost if thats what you mean? Not sure about the snarl as all i hear is induction and turbo spinning up lol

Well, it bounces at 6900rpm so seems it may not be mapped. Using a gps 0-60 timer, achieved 8.59 seconds with traction control!

8.5 would seem standard unless there was a good bit of hesitation off the line. Mine remapped can get just off 7 seconds quite easily. It's great news to find out a car that you thought might be mapped is standard though. It means you can stage 1 it and get a big smile on your face! :)
