Hi just been and looked at my vrs at the dealer this evening. I noticed that when you flash your lights you can heard a thud when you do it! Is this normal?

Yes. It uses 1 xenon lamp and uses an extra lens if you flash lights. That's the thud/thump

There's a shutter that blocks off the top portion of the beam when on dipped, that's what's you're hearing move so yes it's normal, you can't hear it while driving.
