Hi all from proud Superb owner

Hi all

Great to find this forum. Have recently purchased Superb 2.0 TDi 140 CR SE manual (Steel Grey) on a 60-plate to use as airport taxi.

So far: absolutely brilliant - I say this despite glowplug and engine management light coming on. Currently in Fish Bros Swindon for warranty remedy - new EGR valve.

The car is ideal for the job - a great drive, mega low fuel consumption (averaging 57 so far, can get 62 if feeling boring!) and customers love the space and comfort.

Having previously worked in sales and marketing in the car industry (Saab, BMW, MINI, Land Rover) I must admit to still having 80's pre-conceived ideas about the Skoda brand. How wrong can one be?

Looking forward to giving and receiving tips on all aspects of ownership!

Happy driving to you all!

Si (cirencabbie)

Welcome Si

And I totally agree to being a first time Skoda owner!

Hope the problems get fixed.

And any pics?

Hi Si and welcome to Briskoda.

My first Skoda too.  They've come on a bit, haven't they?  :D

All sorted now thanks and covering 7500 miles per month. Loving it still - pics to follow

Wow... That's some mileage mate!

Hope the Skoda does you proud :)

Hello Si  :hi:

From a slightly older and less economical Superb driver.

I am awaiting delivery of my first Skoda. I have a Superb Est 170PS 4x4 on order. I am looking forward to getting that sort of economy. I am driving a VW Phaeton V10 which struggles in town with double figures, and M/Way is lucky to see 28 mpg

Hello and Welcome. The Superb may even seem a bit small compared with a Superb then?  :giggle:
