Indicator audible warning

Featured Replies

Hi

Is there any way of increasing the volume of the indicator audible warning I can not hear the current sound level and find I am forgetting to turn off the indicator . I could not find any reference to it in the manual

Thanks

Replace the relay with a louder clicking one.

Piggy back a 12v buzzer(£3 Maplins) across the relay output and earth, that should work!

I've got an additional device that works if I ignore it, my wife!

Well I had an unusual warning(?) from my Yeti yesterday. Can anyone tell me what it means, please?

I was reversing fairly fast on tarmac and then, using the foot brake, came to a sharp stop. It was almost as though the car didn't like this as it beeped at me three times in quick succession. Bip, bip, bip. Has anyone else experienced such?

Did you push hard & suddenly on the brake ?   If so this will be the ABS kicking in, although usually it sounds like a very loud knocking.

No! I know what the ABS sounds like. As I drive on mud a lot I hear it every day. Still wondering what it was...

Seatbelt warning? Was there anything on the passenger seat?

Yes; and she did make a comment...

Do they not self cancel then? (they should)

A cheaper and easier solution: you could try glancing down at the instrument cluster after your manoeuvre.

^ why should he be different to the rest of us? :giggle:

Water from the bumper running over the rear parking sensor.

Wakev. You're a genius. That will be the answer. From nothing behind to something very close behind is a situation I hadn't come across before. I knew I had heard the quick beeping before; but never in isolation. Began to think it was someone's 'phone. Thank you wakev.

I'm sure I've also read somewhere on here that someone had a faulty rear sensor that was caused by water ingress.
