VCDS on MacBook

Featured Replies

Hello

I have full VCDS, but having recently purchased a MacBook, I was disappointed to find that VCDS does not support apple computers.

I've searched and found that there are ways of doing it, but was wondering if anyone could give me a simple walk through on what I need to do?  I'm not the most computer davy and I feel a bit lost trying to work out the MAC!

Thanks for any tips!

Phil

You could partition your Mac and install Windows.

When you crank up the mac you have the option to start up in either

Think it's called Parallel

Parallels (paid for software) or boot camp (included on your MacBook) will do the job for you.

Read up on Boot Camp as you'll need a minimum of Windows 7 instal disc (officially according to Apple) to be able to instal Windows.

I'm a Mac user and was a Mac only household but chose to buy a cheap but excellent 10" Acer laptop from a Briskodian for less than a dodgy copy of Win 7 off eBay and use that for VCDS.

Horses for courses.

I use VMware fusion to run windows 7 and VCDS through that. Works flawlessly :-)

MacBook air

I use Parallels 8 and Windows 7 Ultimate on my MacBook Pro.

Thanks guys

I think I'll just use my old netbook for VCDS and keep the mac for other things.  I thought there might be an easy fix.

Thanks again

Phil.
