Spark Plugs

Featured Replies

Looking at changing mine very very soon, so what do you guys all recommend to use, especially after reading some of the horror stories on here with them failing at 20k.

Would you just use what the Skoda dealer supply or is there an uprated plug which will do the job better?

My recommendation is, Denso Iridium     SKJ20CR-A8#4  (S16)

About £64 for 4.

Buy at a Local Motor Factors, (Do not trust online suppliers on Ebay etc)

be sure they are right for your car.

Have them cross reference the 3 plugs that show for the car.  Be sure they know 2010-2012 Skoda 1.4 TSI 180 PS

Or just go to the Skoda Parts Desk or Motor Factor for OEM plugs.

I bought NGK BKR7EIX

They have stood up to a remap and some heavy driving

I've 30K on mine & starting every now & then getting a lumpy tick over, so pulled one of my plugs on my vrs today to get the NGK plug number to source a set of plugs at non main dealer price. Problem is there is no number & just NGK VAG :( After scanning the web & getting different NGK numbers (even there own site) it looks like NGK 5758 / PZFR6R is this correct? I see Sparkly has a different number.

Correct.

I'm sure they are good plugs, but does seem like rather a lot when 4 of the NGK's can be had for around £25?

Indeed, so best not buy them.

But they are my recommendation. I use them & i am a tight Scottish Person.
