Rear Exhaust tailpipe exit

Featured Replies

Hi all,

Has anyone attempted to extend the exit pipe from the back box to allow the fitting of a nice chrome tail attachment to be seen at the bottom of the bumper ??????

Has anyone any ideas ?????

can't see anything on the market. not sure how any permanent changes would effect the warranty....

I gave this some thought when I was crawling around underneath trying to see why my car felt like it was on solid tyres.

But the space seemed a bit tight.   What I did think was how untidy everything is under the back end.  Pipes brackets towing eyes ,transport rings --a mess and if you walk to your car up a hill getting a low level look it is far from well thought out IMO.

just what I was looking at today but as has already been said there dosn't seem to be anything available.

However,I noticed when looking underneath my car at the what looks like removable section of diffuser(held by 4 screws) which would maybe allow fitting a back box with tail pipes if ever there was one made available.

I notice The Rapid concept cars have vRS style duel chrome outlets!

TBH I did only notice the towing bracket on mine!

Towing bracket should have black cover to disguise it somewhat (mines is missing though!)

the suspension can be hard at low speeds rougher surfaces etc

after driving a Monte Carlo for 18months my new Rapid's suspension feels like that of a Rolls Royce!!

That looks good but I wish it was a little more discreet.

this is what I want but 385 euros seems a lot and would it look better in chrome? I've wondered if an exhaust custom shop could do a couple of tail pipes for less ?

Not much better. It looks too Halfords [emoji57]

I'm going to be doing this on my Toledo, cut the rear lower valence out and fit a twin oem style tip, seems pretty easy to do, just the cutting of the valance will be the hard bit, although it I removable on the Toledo, worst comes to worse ill buy a new lower valance and have a play

I like the last one [emoji106]

I would like one either side which is has cut outs in the bumper [emoji16]

I think the Rapid Sport Concept looks so low the tow bracket would be ground away
