Attaching VRS spoiler.

Featured Replies

Hi all,

I have finally managed to lay my hands on a VRS spoiler for my non-VRS Fabia MK1. It is being sprayed up this week hopefully, and so I will need to attach it to my car. I have read around that Tiger Seal is the best bet, is this correct? Is it just a matter of gluing onto the spoiler and whacking it down onto the boot?

Any experience/technique tips would be appreciated- I've placed the spoiler in place to see how it looks and noticed it kinda needs to be slid back to its final resting place. Does this result in mess?

Cheers,

I've had mine off to be resprayed. Was a piece of cake, just slid some fishing wire under it and it lifted straight off. I then stuck it back on with tiger seal. This was well over a year ago and it's still stuck fast :) hope that helps guys

mines been dipped and a little tiger seal does the job nicely

Anyone got spoiler for sale mine decided to fall off

I'm also hoping to sort my vRS spoiler out.  I'm thinking I'll remove it and give it a respray if it's so easy to take off and put it back on.

Right, in the end I went for Sikaflex EBT- £7 from Screwfix and the bugger is still held in place two months later, after having horrendous rain, hot sun and motorway winds chucked at it. Job done :)
