New camera photos

Featured Replies

Really pleased with my new Canon Powershot A80. Really simple to use, haven't mastered all the options available yet but here's 4 random photos taken in Dorset recently.

Great pics! My A70 seems to do water ones pretty well too.

Where's the garden one? Looks very nice.

Thanks. Think it was Athelhampton although wife made me visit several so not sure now-all blurred into one after a while.

The A80 was a replacement for the faulty A70 I had got - at no extra charge - and I'm well satisfied with it.

You're a man of many cameras aren't you - have you bought any more lately?

Athelhampton is supposed to be haunted, it was featured recently on Most Haunted!

Oh, and here's one I took at the weekend which I like; the contrast of the shapes is what I like about it I think.

Cheeky - OK I giveup, what is the picture above of?

L-Y-K - that first photo was taken on the Bridport road coming out of Abbotsbury. You have to be quick taking photos there or you get knocked over!

Vibrio - I don't know how you do that but everything looks much blue-er and sunnier.:tipspecs: I was pleased with my rock photo until I saw yours! Car one looks really good (couldn't you get the flies of the front grille though)

Last one maybe a bit too blue for Dorset - looks like the Med.

Very good, if I post one of the wife can you make her blu-er :naughty:

Do you think I would be able to take one of the pictures like yours where the Citroen is against a fast moving background? What features are needed to do this sort of shot - I've always wanted to take one like that.

Thanks

all you need is a camera that you can set the shutter speed. slow shutter and get the car moving. car stays in ofucs but background blurs

also removed flys

Ha! that's good. What about my other request ;)

Just had a quick play with my photo editing program and managed to produce some quite weird things! Nothing as clever as you though.

you never provided a pic for me to work with

It's the sky with a bubble from one of those fairy liquid bubble things kids love, a few leaves off some plant and a telegraph wire. Strange but true lol

I just remembered - on one of the photos we took at Athelhampton, my wife said that it looked like there was a ghostly baby face sucking it's thumb in the water of the fountain. I never watched that Most Haunted program so who was supposed to be haunting Athelhampton-can you remember?

Have a look at the pic attached.

Derek
