Recommended vinyl wrappers - Berks/Hants

Featured Replies

Hey folks,

Does anyone have any recommendations for good vinyl wrap companies in Berks/Hants area? Want to enquire as to getting my roof done and need to find someone I can trust and that will do a good job.

Thanks in advance

I also want to do gloss black - but the company I've emailed locally says it scratches easily. Can anyone with wrap confirm or deny this?

Rubbish...Its the same hardness as other paints of the same type

What they perhaps mean, is that it shows scratches more readily than other colours...but IME is no less hard

It will of course be dependent on the quality of the wrap used.

So many places buying cheap materials to be able to quote cheap....

Best to shop around and maybe see physical examples of work done.

That's exactly why I posted this thread - to get a pointer to the fitters recommended ;)

The company that sent the message about scratching seems to be a small local outfit, but they do use 3M vinyl and also comes with a warranty like others. But that was the first google link that came up, with very few other companies appearing in the list.

I just have no idea who to use, that's all.

Not used them personally, but know a few people who have and have been very pleased with the service/job. Only ever heard good things about them.

I must stress that the name 3m means nothing unless company are on the 3m approved fitters list after completing the AVW course.

Anybody can buy and use 3m vinyl, it doesn't matter who you are.... But if they haven't passed the AVW, 3M will not stand by their 5yr warranty as they haven't been trained by 3m.

This isn't to say that the company won't do a good job and that the company won't offer you a warranty, it just won't be 3m's warranty.

The only problem really occurs if for example, the company isn't 3M approved, they wrap your roof and offer you a 2yr warranty, great, but then the vinyl fails after 2.5 years, then the company won't replace it as its out of their warranty and neither will 3m, realistically most people will have sold the car or removed the vinyl before this point, but its just something to bare in mind.

Thanks jon

Cheers! Anyone got any more local recommendations? Monsterwraps finally replied and their quote is 3 times the price of the local fitter, and it's well out of my budget. :(

Get in touch with me pabs, I can help you out with this, drop me a PM.
