android notifications/alerts over bluetooth

Featured Replies

Hey

so on a long(ish) drive today, i realised that unless I had my colombus switched to bluetooth audio, i wasnt getting any alerts from my phone. it didnt seem to be able to auto-switch the colombus to the correct stream to play them, and of course as it was connected via bluetooth, the phone itself was silent.

i've tried a quick search on this, but couldnt find anything - anyone else having this problem? and better yet, anyone know how to fix it?

its android, nexus 5.

cheers

What type of connection, hfp or rsap?

Not rsap, so connected to the phone and media streams

When connected via hfp with my Samsung note2, all notifications are made by the phone itself.

Maybe it's an issue with your nexus.
