Couldn't believe my eyes

Featured Replies

Recorded special stage coverage of the summerset stages from the other weekend, finally got to sit down and watch it last night. Usual goings on in whats called the gold series of ex works focus's and the like, moves on to silver series early stages leading was an opal manta (good for me as im still bit of a griffin fan) and second place was Andy Burton in a freshly dusted off Felicia kit car, I couldn't believe my eyes!!!! Anyway after an hour of anticipation waiting to see how well they'd get on and hoping they had a good finish went by and managed to finish 5th in the silver series to two mk2 escorts and two citroen DS3's so fair play to him!!!!!!! Glad to see a feli out there at it hope he brings it out for a few more rounds of the BTRDA this year it was going well!

Only picture i got of the Felicia on the Granite City Rally at the weekend,

Car 97,  John Marti & Craig Martin  on the road section between stages.

@ Clatterin Brig, Bottom of the Cairn O' Mouth.

Sorry no Felicia on here but there is a Honda Civic.

what is original Felicia on those cars?

other than the shell?

putting a VW engine / transmission, Ford brakes, Subaru suspension, etc. then winning a race... it's not like Skoda Felicia won.

it could have been as well a tortoise shell with holes for windshield.

just my 2 cents.

Well the one I posted I'm told is the same car that Stig Blomqvist once drove in the wrc, happy?

Proper car that, It's Andy Burnell not burton tho. it is Stig's old car and as it is a proper ex works kitcar then it's a Skoda really no matter what parts are in it (ps no ford brakes there but some massive AP's)

my regular co-driver  and uncle was doing it with Simon rogers too.

I thought the rules allowed for parts from within "the group".

Sorry yes Burnell getting all muddled up with Andy Burton localish farmer cosworth powered space framed pug 306 if youve not seen no heard it, youtube it!! :-O Anywho yeah Andy Burnell's car what a tool that still seems to be! any idea what motor and gear box he's running?

The kit car was running a 1.6 motor think they were running around 170bhp she revs well and I guess has the 6 speed dog box still.the car,was pretty original last time I saw it to be fair he pedals it well.

I kinda see although the pic is all bloody dark (click to view original image).

Ok then you guys are pretty knowledgeable iv cracked the front bumper on mine whilst down a white and under the paint that's flaked off the bumper is green like all the cup cars, any idea why? Are the bumpers moulded from green plastic of something?

Is that a solid or metallic colour?  Looks to me more like this colour, which makes me wonder if someone has replaced the bumper at some point with a second hand one and painted it white to match the rest of your car.
