Not a VRS but my Elegance only has one for each door. I fitted them to my Octy 2 & they were a set of 2 for each door. When I ordered them for this car I assumed they would be sets of 2 & a bit disappointed only 1 fitted.

Yep, vRS has both front door sill protectors only, none on the rear which is an odd omission IMO. I was told its the same for Elegance, and Kalpat has confirmed.

So if you only have the drivers side, you need to speak to your dealer !

In fact the rear vRS specific protectors don't even show up on UK dealers systems, but I got mine from Superskoda no problem.

Dealer has confirmed my passenger side protector missing from factory.

Well, TBH I would sack your dealer if they didn't spot that on a PDI ..... any others close by for service time ?

They said they forgot to tell me but cannot fault them because the deal I got and the help from the staff was great.

How on earth can that happen? Aren't most of these things stuck on by robot? If not, and someone has the thrilling job of sticking them on by hand, surely the fact that they hadn't should be picked up before leaving the factory?

I suppose all's well that ends well and only you can judge that when you see how quickly they manage to get the part fitted correctly. To be honest, I'd not be too happy if they forgot to tell me. It just takes a note to be added to your handover file, a 10 second job.

I suspect they're fitted by a human but they shoudnt really be able to miss them off as all parts will be scanned and checked off..... but then the boot bump stop covers were missing off mine....

Ah, that makes sense. So, like an Ikea wardrobe, bits left over mean that something that was needed hasn't been fitted.

I can imagine someone standing by a pile of sill protectors and bump stop covers and wondering why they keep growing.

Has anyone checked eBay for an influx of door sill protectors ? :)
