I have used this forum for years for my mk4 golf which I would now like to replace with the following vehicle


Octavia Hatchback
1.6 Diesel
SE or Elegance Finish


Budget 9k max


Form the looks of it I could expect anything from 2009 / 2011 with a mileage of 35k to 70k. Just looking for some general buying advice things to look out for on this model. When is cam belt change due all these sort of things.


Iam Bedfordshire area so if your selling get in touch Iam also happy to travel.

It's very unlikely you'll get an Octy III for your budget (unless it's been crashed) so you'd probably be best advised to ask the Octy II guys' opinions first - you never know what might turn up for sale

Agree with above. No chance for 9k.. Unless you'll get incredibly lucky.

After having a quick look at autotrader the cheapest one is around 12k and in S trim 1.2TSI as well..

I suspect the OP was meant to post this in the MKII sections seeing as he's talking about 2009-2011 cars...
