what does the above do and why is it that shape, plus can it just be removed/upgraded and if so what with.

Replacements are available but people have had probs with them rubbing on the VRS but ok on other models, debatable as to whether there is any performance benefit.

Depends what you have already done to your car already as said above if its lowered at all you will have rubbing issues,

 

Personally i don't think its that restrictive, yeah its not round like hoses but internal diameter i bet isn't much differant.

 

Mines running all mods for stage 2 but actually only mapped to stage 1 and im still running pancake pipe and its running 220bhp
