They made a slight performance drop on acceleration though... :bandit:

nice! cant wait for mine to arrive.

why do you say slight performance drop? apparently the TTRS brake setup is lighter than the vRS setup.

Nope, the TTRS set is much heavier than vRS setup. TTRS set is 18kg per side and stock vRS is about 14,5kg.

If it's the 1.6 then it probably has the smaller diameter (50mm) stuts which also means the hub carrier is different to a vRS.

Any brake upgrade probably requires a kit specific to the light duty hub carrier / strut assembly or the conversion will require the fitment of a 55mm hub carrier & matching struts.

Someone else also mentioned winter tyres which i assume will also need thinking about.

OP seems to have taken his ball & gone home so I'm not sure why I've bothered responding...

Sorry, little one got my phone...!

ahh damn, well, time to change some suspension arms to make up the difference!

can you fit your standard neptunes over them?

I don't have Neptunes. Currently i have 17" Zenith's as winter wheels and i have to upgrade them to 18" wheels for the next winter. I have seen one Pre-FL vRS with those brakes and 18" Zenith's but i don't know if they required spacers.

ok no worries, thanks for the info. if I can run a small spacer with my neptunes it would be good, semi slicks are cheaper in 18" compared to 19"
