  • ŠKODA launches new online tool to order practical car accessories
  • Dedicated mobile version available for smartphones and tablet devices
  • Family favourites on the portal include digital radio adapter, roof bars and bike holders
  • Transparent pricing and parts fitted at customer’s convenience

SKODA UK has launched a new online tool which makes the ordering of practical, durable and stylish accessories more convenient and hassle-free.

Vehicle owners can access the new accessories portal using either the computer or mobile version of the site – the latter is compatible with smartphones and tablet devices.

The simple and clear interface means that drivers of all current and most past ŠKODA models only need to enter their vehicle registration and postcode. This reveals their nearest ŠKODA retailer from the 134-strong network as well as the accessories that can be bought for their specific model. Furthermore, customers can view the complete price list for each item, which includes the labour time, and select a date to have the accessories fitted.

Family favourites available for purchase include a compact digital DAB radio adapter to enjoy songs on the airwaves and tracks from mobile devices in digital quality sound; a tailored four-piece carpet set and flexible loadliner to keep floor wells and the boot clear of grime; lockable roof bars for extra luggage space. Furthermore, bike holders are also available, meaning that cycles do not have to take up valuable room in the back of the car.

Owen Shepherd, Head of Service & Parts Operations at ŠKODA UK, comments: “Many families up and down the country have hectic lifestyles with little free time. The new online ordering service has been designed to give our customers the ability to upgrade their car at their own convenience, without being surprised by any hidden charges.

“Our range of high quality and affordable accessories provide added practicality whilst maintaining the stylish look of any ŠKODA model.”

That link just takes me to the Skoda website, with no sign of the tool.

Looks good, I'm sure SUK used to have an online part finder a while ago and then it was dropped. You could order the bikes on it too!

Hope that the link will appear soon :)

I notice the car seat isnt ISOFIX when all the cars are?

not sure if this is the page or not?

That page shows items that aren't actually in the brochure :(

Tbh the merch brochure is pretty rubbish - just loads of cycling stuff with a few other bits lobbed in. I want a proper Skoda Motorsport jacket...

Yup, homepage links not updated.

It's not far off where I thought it might be... but not where I'd have gone ;)

Here it is:

However the area itself is live and you will find it with the online service booking http://www.skoda.co.uk/owners/service-and-maintenance/online-service-booking/online-service-booking . Once you click into the form, fill in your details, there is the option to choose work to be done. There are then two tabs, one for service and one for accessories that can be fitted to your car.

HTH

I did buy a Skoda Shell Jacket when I was recently in for a service; very well priced and excellent quality.

This is a really obscure way to hide the accessories list, but also the list is tiny. The Czech website has anything and everything on it, I've been looking up alloy wheels there and they're all available: Star, Minoris, Ilias, Teron...err...more that I can't remember the name of!

Guess how many alloys are available on the UK site?

Clue: It's round, like a doughnut.

If Skoda UK cant give us a proper e-shop wonder if Czech e-shop could be made avail for Purchases from UK.

Looks cheap, nasty and amateurish throughout...

Thanks for that.

no worries. Glad someone appreciates it rather than slates it :)

Hello Colin,

Like other users, I've also tried the new site but the link took me straight to Skoda's official website - not good!

Having got to the site through a search engine, I have to say, I was not impressed!

Things are jumbled-up with no coherent logic. Items, if not, the charge for postage and packing is ridiculously expensive and things which DIY enthusiasts like myself might be looking for aren't there. Things such as a 'guide pulley' or 'a parcel shelf strap' do not exist.

Overall, not impressive/impressed!

Thought I'd convey my honest thoughts.

Kind regards,

Ilkay.

I was looking to get some items before collecting my new car. As I dont have a reg number yet due to it being in a holding area in Germany, I am unable to access the tool.
