vRS accessories - best place to buy from? Superskoda?!

Featured Replies

Guys

My vRS gets built within the next week so I need to get one or two things bought.

1st priority is rear sill protectors as the daughter has a habit of standing on the sill as she gets in an out. I'd like vRS ones to match the front. Is superskoda the only option? Recent threads seem to suggest they aren't the best company to deal with.

I'd also like to pick up some front and rear mud flaps and the boot net set. I seem to remember someone suggesting an Irish seller for these but I can't find the thread. Any ideas?

Thanks in advance

Cheers. £12 p&p and £6 tax make front & rear mud flaps £37 all in, anyone know how that compares with English dealer prices?

Speak as you find, I've ordered a few things from Superskoda with no problems whatsoever. Prompt delivery, payments transfer fine etc.

^^ good to hear. Looks like they're the only option for the sill protectors

I've ordered from Superskoda, pretty poor on communication but the parts arrived promptly

My experience of SuperSkoda is the the polar opposite of yours.....Wrong paperwork so parts held up at Customs, they never answer the phone, never replied to emails or reply when contacting via their website.

Worst people I have ever had the misfortune of dealing with (and only because they are diabolical communicators) so I am still on the hunt for the parts I wanted :(.  If they actually bothered to speak to their customers, they'd be brilliant.

My advice is, if you do buy from them, pay by Paypal so if your order suffers a similar fate to mine, then at least you can get a refund (as I and Nookie Bear did recently).

Had trouble paying via card not registered to delivery address so had to use bank transfer but parts arrived ok.

One of the posts in the link below has an alternative seller, but you may have to brush up on your Czech.

They don't answer their phone (mobile number - constantly stating the person is unable to take the call), fax number the same problem, no response through [email protected] or [email protected] (the parent company email), and no response through the direct email link on their website. Courier also reported failure of Superskoda to respond to their requests.

Order away... but, as previously stated, use PayPal.

I have used SS with no issues on a couple of occasions, (sill protectors and later mudflaps) but it does seem several have had issues.

I always use paypal just in case ;)

The Irish supplier Skovirg linked has had positive reports, from others.

When I looked into getting them from UK dealer, the vRS and Elegance (ie with stainless steel plate) were not on their systems, but the ones I got from SS look like OEM to me.

Standard plastic ones are available, but I believe you have to buy the set (front and rear).

I ordered off superskoda a couple of weeks ago, found them good. Had an email to say my order had been dispatched and it arrived two days later.

A lot of people use Superskoda without problem, as mentioned, but the cautionary note (from my own and others experiences) is purely that if anything does go wrong (i.e. wrong or damaged items received, items missing in transit, goods held in customs etc.), you stand more of a chance getting in contact with our Dear Lord than you do Superskoda to resolve the problem!!!

Well I've taken a leap of faith and ordered the rear sill protectors from SuperSkoda. Paid via PayPal as suggested on here.

I'll pick up the mud flaps from Ireland shortly.

The listing for the boot net I wanted has gone from eBay though so I'll need to source that from elsewhere

Despatch email for my rear protectors already. Here's hoping they've sent the right product and paperwork.

Fingers crossed. Chances are you'll be fine as it's a small order. I get the impression Customs only look at orders over a certain value so even if the paperwork isn't 100% right your order will most likely get through OK.

missed a royal mail delivery today.  card said 'too big for letter box'  i think it must be the door sill protectors from superskoda.  if it is, here in 5 days, that's good.

5 days is about what mine took ;)

Superskoda can teach f'in Skoda a thing or two then  :giggle:
