Tfsi milltek

Does anyone on here have a milltek resonated or none res. I've searched on here but can't seem to find anything. I was just wondering how loud they were. I don't want anything that will make my ears bleed but neither do I want to spend nearly 600 and not beable to tell the difference from standard. Cheers in advance Rob

Herd the non res is a bit of a drone at motor way speeds as your in york try camerons at back of reel get a custom one for less.

I've for the non res system on my car.It was bearable with the cat in but still boomy but with the decat its too loud unless just on light throttle.Im looking to buy the resonated mid section sometime this year .

I had the non-resonated on for about 500 or so miles before I switched to the res version. It was too boomy whilst cruising and ruined the car. Love it how it is at the moment though.

There is a video on you tube done by trev23 with a non res exhaust i believe.

Bcs is the way forward ;)

I've got a full resonated Blueflame TBE with 200 cell cat. Quiet around town and opens up a bit on heavier acceleration. The bass tone at idle is brilliant, but like I say a little more noise I could handle, might swap the cat out for the pipewerks decat I have. As Si says above try BCS as Nigel will try to make it to your spec !

Milltek are from what test show, restrictive at the back box as they step down in size over the axle. Bcs is the only system I know that stops with the same dimension of pipe all the way. Not sure how boomy etc they are but that's the way I'll be going once mine drops off :D

Ditto, only my non-res didn't last 500 miles ...!

As stated really its each to his or her own what one person likes another dislikes, that goes for everthing best thing to do have a look on well know sites type what your after, and hopefully you will be able to listen to different systems.

Well just ordered a non res from awsome so I guess I'll see how it is and go from there. Always been impressed by the quality of milltek so I'll see how it goes and maybe have to change for a resonated one if my ears start to bleed too badly

Reckon you'll be switching to the res version pretty soon.

ha ha..

maybe i'm just and old ****er and not in tune with what the youngsters want these days.   :)   get your ear plugs ready.

Well with nearly a £200 difference in price I thought I'd go for the cheaper one first and if all else fails I'll either get the resonated one or have a second silencer fitted.

When I had decided I wasn't happy with the non-res, I contacted Milltek direct and they let me just pay the difference to upgrade to the resonated one. Good customer service.

Did you buy your non res direct from milltek?

No, through my local mechanic who's a supplier.
