Qualifications?

Featured Replies

I am trying to fill in an application for a photocard driving licence since i changed my address, and in section 5 "signing your photograph" there is a bit that asks for the name and profession of someone who knows me, but at the bottom it asks for qualifications and i dont know what to put for this?

I believe (if it's like the passport) you need to get it signed by a "professional", so the name of the qualification they did to get to that status should be acceptable. What does it say in the notes with the application? :D

What so you mean like degree or A-level or something like that?

if it's qualifications for signing the photo it needs to be someone like me, DSA ADI (driving instructor) someone like a policeman, teacher etc... someone "professional" as stated above, I think there's a list of acceptable people on the forms somewhere....

Whatever the main qualification, or professional body registration, is that enables them to do their job. GMC registration number for a Dr for example.

Yeah, I suspect it's just something to prove they're a qualified professional, eg B.Ed for teachers (I think)...

http://www.dvla.gov.uk/drivers/photocard_licences.htm#8 shows a list of people acceptable.... :D

Yeah I saw that, but it already asked for his profession. Anyway, I've sent it off now :D

normally anyone with letters after their name will suffice.

They never check anyway.

I'm a nurse can i sign these things then?

A Chartered Engineer can also sign it. I've signed a couple for people and they have been accepted ok!
