Prices increased

Featured Replies

Looks like by an average of £4-500 on most models going off the latest brochure. Seems a bit strange considering it is being replaced in six months or so.....

Perhaps it's an earnings / profit  balancing of currency- £ very strong against the Euro

If the pound is strong, prices should be lower not higher.

Its a blatant attempt to shift the fabia pricing so that the marketing boys can launch the Mk3 with "look, hapy happy, no price increase!!"

Skoda have pushed all their prices up way too high, the Octavia is starting to look like silly money.

Success has made them drunk - unfortunately their dealer network is also letting them down as they have started with the "we are really an Audi in sheeps clothing, so be thankful you cretins"

Or maybe they'll increase it, so they can have a sale in a few months and claim bigger savings?

A way of shifting more cars before the new model comes out?

Just a thought

Isn't it called inflation?

And being spoilt for too long on VAT free offers?

When they end, nobody likes the "real" price.

I happen to agree on pricing on some models - on a recent CAR test, the Golf GTI as tested was cheaper than the Octavia.  I mean, really, why would you?  The only benefit I can see is the bigger boot and/or the estate option.

But, I would also agree with the Skoda dealer mentality of the Rapid Spaceback being a thinking man's A3 Sportback...

im very sorry, I know this isnt the right thread, at all, but i've been thinking recently, quite a lot IMO, and if skoda made a citigo vRS with a fabia vRS style interior and power to match the renault sport twingo i would be all over that!

They have announced the Citigo Monte Carlo from £10,590..

They have done the Sporty Looks,  they just forgot to increase the Sporty Feel.

It will be interesting to see what Renault do with the Rear Engine, Rear Wheel drive Twingos,

Cooking & Sportier models.

Nice  ... not so sure about the car though  ...

I hope that twinge handles well. it needs something to take your mind off how ugly it is.

Her on the other hand... I bet she handles well, and shes got the looks

New car prices maybe rising, this is also having a knock on effect on good used stock.

Motorpoint seem to be the cheapest at the minute with some real bargains

I suspect that in another six months there will be the obligatory sell off of old stock and pre reg demos etc,

look at the price of 1 year old Rapids I am wondering how long it will take spacebacks to fall mind you I was tipped the wink from a friend at the dealer that Rapids are not popular so go figure

MINI a bit expensive now as well,

but thats not the point, maybe just worth watching the reviewer.

You can never watch too many 'cars'.

I can only assume that goneoffSKi lives in some remote part of Scotland with only sheep for company judging by his over excitability. :coffee:
