Diesel centre section and a decat short of going all out and getting a system

Its petrol mate

Yes but I'm reading it that putting a diesel exhaust on will give it some noise as they are less muffled.

Diesel centre is a straight pipe, does away with the centre resonator. Almost a staright fit. Just needs the flared part on the front chopping off.

Yh I wanna know how much of a difference it will make before I do it and if there's any down sides to doing it

No downsides at all. It just changes the note of the exhaust. I've got a 3" decat, diesel centre pipe, and standard silencer still. It's almost like you can hear the turbo spool through the exhaust.

I did hope it would increase the volume, but it hasn't really. I've also got a Carbonio intake pipe and that's louder than the exhaust.

Is it a specific diesel center section and is it as simple as straight swap?

Mk4 golf , PD engine. You'll also need a sleeve to fit it

What sleeve do u need to fit this and can u buy them or make them as I'm a welder and also interested it doing this any pics would be great. Thanks

Not 100% sure on the size, I think it was 55mm. If you look at the pic above, you can see the joining sleeve between the centre and rear sections. You can buy them from pretty much every motor factors

Yep, standard compensator fits. Just had one fitted to my brothers car this morning by a mate in the local Kwik Fit.
