door switch staying on after closing passenger door

Featured Replies

Help keeps coming on and off, guessing it's the door sensor switch of lose cable. Does the door card have to come off

The door microswitch is fitted to the door lock unit and you need to remove the door card and inner metal door carrier to get to it. The microswitch is officially part of the lock unit and I don't think Skoda sell them separately but some people have managed to obtain similar switches from ebay, Maplin etc. Other than that you would have to replace the whole lock unit. If the switch is just sticking maybe some switch cleaner might help?

What symptoms are you having - is the red door light and courtesy light staying on with the door closed?

If you Google 'Fabia door microswitch' you will find more info.
