For the fixed users, i used the Fuchs in mine and noticed zero oil consumption.

According to the link it only meets 505.00 and 502.00 so no good for the mkII diesels and I thought mkII petrol engines required a minimum of 504.00?

It's only the DPF fitted dervs that need the 507:00 isn't it? because of the low ash content.

 

Plus if it meets spec 505 then surely it's supercedes 504 anyway so that isn't a problem as it's a better spec. 

We've always gone for the slightly higher spec Race pro. Kept the S2000 and Clio Trophy running happily for years.

505.00 and 504.00 are different spec wise. PD engines must have a minimum of 505.01 not 505.00. If a dpf is fitted then it must be 507.00
