LCR front end on a 4x4?

Featured Replies

Just a quick one!

Can any parts from a LCR front end be used on a 4x4 octavia?

If not they'll be in the for sale section! ;-)

Cheers

Mark

Hubs arms can steering rack can't

not the hubs

not the hubs

Hubs carriers can, but the hub/bearing is for 2wd

Need those from a R32 or press out the original 4x4 ones and fit into the LCR Hub carriers

On the Octy 4x4 you want to keep its oem hubs

Flatter geometry than the R32 ones ;)

putting Octy hubs on an R32/S3/TT would be an upgrade ;)

really how come.

I suppose depends on how low car is.

As the R32 / TT hub will make control arm sit lower so if the subframe is low this will surly balance out more horizontal no?

this is correct, however the R32 wishbones to Octy Hub at level ride height sets up for good min. ride height vs articulation on firm suspension, any lower risks cracking your sump open & rubbing tyres
