crankshaft sensor?

Featured Replies

hi there we are having a problem with our 2002 octavia estate 4x4. most of the time from cold ( occasionly will do this warm if left hour or so. i will start the engine and sometimes it will not fire fully it is running but sounds incredibly rough chugging and idle up and down . other times it will start ok go to pull out and it will conk out . with around 2-3 restarts it will start and run perfect . any ideas? i did have a problem where it completely died and had dash lights everywhere and i changed the fuel pump relay as per advice and it worked but going downhill lately

You need to get it scanned.

i was wrong - still stalling when pulling off from first start. i have changed coolant temp sensor as i had  a code come up for that. and cleaned throttle barrel. i have read that if the car runs no different disconnecting the maf then its had it and need changing? i wasnt able to try my dads spare as it didnt fit so would it be worth buying a new?
