CitiGo PID Problems..........

Featured Replies

Over the last few days the Wife has been having problems with her PID in here CitiGo Green Tech Elegance.

When the PID is being used it seems to Lock up the Radio. On the Radio screen the Letters SDA appear. The radio will not work at all and it will not turn off. If the PID is removed fron the dash the radio starts to work, refit the PID and the radio stops working again showing SDA in the display. It's like the PID is locking up the Radio. All the functions of the PID still work appart from the Media bit.

I've cleaned all the contacts on the PID and it's holder but this has no effect.

Anyone any Idea's

Thanks

Usually when you see SCL or SDA displayed the PID is faulty. It's streaming non-existent data which overrides the radio.

Thanks for that, Do you know if the PID is covered by the Warranty?

Yes. They are covered by warranty (it may be a seperate one).

Kind of related, yesterday on one trip instead of showing the Skoda logo the PID displayed 'Welcome to Volkswagen'. Media, phone & car info remained unchanged but navigation had red highlighting were it is usually green. Turned it off and back on again at next stop and went back to normal.

Try the reset button when on, botton edge of the unit, worked for me when I had a glitch or two.
