I ordered mine about a month after you, and I'm expecting September delivery (but not sure when because the dealer hasn't told me yet). Do you know that yours is definitely coming on 1 September? What was the build date?

Yep. Seen it at the dealer and got a hand over time of 4.30.

As far as I can remember the build date was the first week in July and they had it on the docks at Grimsby on the 1st week in August. It arrived at the dealer 2 weeks ago. I hope you get a date soon. Get onto them. They know exactly where the car is from production line to delivery.

I was supposed to be getting mine on the 3rd September, dealer rang me up to say it could now be the middle of September . Ordered mine in July, he couldn't give me a firm date either apparently they are behind or having problems with build dates. He can get me another one with out the side bags though and this one has just come off the ship.

I ordered a Vrs black magic, cruise control 6 CD and the side bags. I may forgo the side airbags to have it for next weekish. Need a car and am giving my current one back soon.

Just took the Vrs with out the side airbags, the dealers gone to tag for me as we speak.

So hopefull soon I will be having a Vrs Black magic 6 cd cruise control.

It's okay, I've got my shiny Octy 2 to keep me happy until my Furby vrs turns up

Ordered my Octavia II 1.9TDI in the middle of May. It was due to be ready the end of July but there was some problem with the multi function steering wheels at the Skoda factory so it got delayed until the middle of August. Thought it would be daft not waiting 2 weeks until September. I'm picking it up 1400 hours on Thursday. I had intended to pick it up in the morning, but the idiot at work that had agreed to swap days off with me has now spat his dummy out and won't swap. Got a call off the dealer to say the car was there yesterday. My insurance company had sent me the cover note instead of the dealer so I was very tempted to say I'd drive down with it tomorrow so I could look at the car. I decided against it and sent it via Royal Mail. Also SWIMBO didn't look to impressed when I said I might pop down tomorrow as she has to work tomorrow afternoon and she would miss out.

We will be picking up our Vrs Black magic 6 cd, all we could get for the 1st !!

Are all these 1st Sept going to be 55 plate cars?

Is there anywhere is the UK that uses "PI" to determine its location? I can sense some embarrassing numberplates coming out in that area if so.

Dont think PI is available because the 'I' looks like number 1

Just a question regarding the cd autochanger that a lot of people are having, where does it sit? I'm thinking of getting one

On the Octavia it's in the boot, in the Fabia it's under the passenger seat I think. Have you already got a Skoda and thinking about getting a changer? or are you thinking about getting a Skoda?

It goes under the passenger seat and the cubby hole that it takes up is put under the drivers seat (If you order it from the options list) As an after sale item, I presume it would go in the boot. Dont really know
