2015 Nissan Pulsar GT-R

Featured Replies

It's not a GT-R, it's a GTI-R. :)

If they build it.

The Pulsar (regular one) has just been unvieled and it just looks like a bigger Nissan Note.

Not a touch on the GTI-R from the 90's...

All these cars look the same now. It looks like a Citroen DS4 has crashed into a Vauxhall Corsa.

It's got styling clues from the original, which people forget was actually just a Nissan Sunny with four wheel drive and a turbo'd engine.

Had no idea they were bringing another out. We still have my dads old imported one in the garage. Where its staying for a few years yet. Any news on engines or anything? Would they be mad enought to do a silly version? With a gtr engine?

The GT-R engine won't fit without a lot of work (like the Juke R, which as farmed out to a motorsport company to build) and there is nowhere for the gearbox really unless you lose the back seats.

The GT-R engine is apparently going to be put in an infinity, which has required a lot of head scratching.  And that's a noticably bigger car.

I'd like to see them do a 2.0 - 2.5 turbo though if they think it's cost effective to add four wheel drive.

I think it looks more like a Mazda 3 MPS, I like it though looks really good

Ah I see. Maybe no daft version then. How long before nismo get involved? Only a matter of time surely. Although I am by no means clued up when it comes to Nissan etc. Thats your department Bossfox. Would make a good rally car I reckon. Again only my uneducated opinion.

Missed the I out apologies haha! I do see the resemblance to the MPS though!

That looks sweet :)

Re-skinning a Renault is like putting glitter on a dog turd- a pointless affair that leaves only disappointment and resentment.

I was thinking dead ringer for

Rather than start with a standard hatch and build an MPV they have started with the Qashqai and reduced it (squashqai anyone?) so it will get the same engines and probably the 1.6t as well. I like it.

Just further proves the point of how crap car design is now.

I've posted this before and I'll post it again...

Is it just me, or have they made it look like this thing has an inter-heater on it like the original did?

I quite like that, but they never build it looking as good as that, Or if they do, it won't come to the UK.

+1 my first thought too.

Could this be your next car then Boss Fox?

I don't understand peoples problem with cars looking similar? I agree with DS4/Corsa similarity but I'm sure it will drive completely differently to both cars, which is what its all about isnt it?

1.2 and 1.6 turbo 190 coming to Ireland as far as I am aware.
Quasqai Nismo in the pipeline as well :)

The Infiniti is a Nissan in a fancy dress, similar to what Lexus is to Toyota

The disdain held for Japanese manufacturers who try to operate in a similar fashion to VAG with different market brands is both astounding and hilairious in equal measure.

Its a re-badged Megane with some plastic bits. VAG posted three cars in the top 10 of the latest JD Power survey including 1st and 2nd, Nissan 0. Renault 0 (best placed 45th out of 116).

The sentiment isn't anti-Japanese car maker who launched its Infiniti brand at the same time VAG was starting to accrue marques, its about the anodyne styling and questionable base, nothing astounding or hilarious in that.
