Is that 5/40 fully or 5/30 fully

5/30 but needs to be low ash so needs to say VW 507 on bottle.

507 spec is a must otherwise incorrect oil will damage cams and dpf

It's what VW developed for the engine and is what the dealers use. Like Wiilydog says, your cams are at risk if you get the wrong oil.

That first link looks like fake oil to me......i've certainly never seen Quantum Longlife III with a label like that.

 

As far as I know Quantum Longlife III was developed by Castrol in partnership with VW. VW sell it as Quantum Longlife III and Castrol sell it as 'edge' for £5 more but with 1 litre less!

Yes, but It's a weird looking label. Maybe they have recently updated the design of the labels.

Same label as the last bottle I got from TPS. And I paid £27 so that seems a good deal.
