Remapped vRS PD

Featured Replies

Hi Folks,

Had my vRS PD remapped a week ago and have to say I'm enjoying it so far! However, I'm after some advice on a couple of things;

1) Every now and again when accelerating there is a slight "hiccup" and the torque seems to drop for a second or two then comes back, I plan to whip the EGR off and clean it up as I doubt this has ever been done but could this be the cause of this "hiccup"?

2) I have done a log of a 10-15 min drive round local rounds which give opportunity to go from slow to high speed and full range of throttle positions so I have posted it below, can someone take a look at the MAF data and see if mine appears to be functioning correctly as I know these can give problems with out putting the EML on. I'm not sure what figures the MAF should be showing when working OK.

I did a full scan at the time of the log and no issues were flagged up.

Many thanks

Steve

Take it back to the mappers is the first move.

the egr being blocked will give you a big loss in power. You'd put your foot down and get almost nothing, when mine was at its worst I was wary about overtaking because you never knew when you'd have power or not.

So if its a slight hiccup then id take it to the mappers and tell them.

All ready been in touch with them mate but in the mean time I'm trying to see if either of these two devices could be causing something like this to save time and money travelling back for them to say it's either EGR or MAF that's causing this to happen! Work constraints are the overriding factor at the moment to be able to travel any distance. Can't really blame them if it is the case!

 It's only two or three times for literally a second or two then boom, it takes off down the road again!

Thanks for the reply
