Urgent Clutch Question.

Featured Replies

When i start the car ( TFSI) , Unsure whether just does it when cold or not.

When the cars running, and i have no feet on the pedals, there is a fast paced tiny sound , tappy type coming from the engine, when the clutch is engaged, you hear it go away, as soon as you lift it, its back?

Any ideas? clutch bearing? flywheel?.

2. Iv already asked this but no reply.

Cold starting, was abit rough but i could cope with it, but this morning, Started and it cut out, try again and it started.

Read up and could be one of a few things.

*Battery

*Temp Sensor

*Carbon Build up.

*fuel pump

Any ideas?.

Alot to read and long winded ino , but new car worries, and need to know to be on to the Dealer and get it all sorted!

Thanks

injectors i would suspect.. mine is tappy and noisy on idle. was advised its fine, the ECU trys to run the car as lean as possible on idle but changes when you put clutch down.

its not DMF on mine.. defo from the injectors.

VCDS read? mine sometimes is a bit noisy on start as the intake cam didn't retard. probably a sensor fault.. or something expensive that i will live in denial of :)

VCDS read? dont say something expensive haha, can you get it read with a normal OBD reader?

Local briskoda member with VCDS? or a local indie VAG garage can give it a scan.

ODB is okay.. but you get way more information with VCDS than a simple fault code reader..
